Obituary for Gerald Ray Rodabaugh Gerald Ray “Bud” Rodabaugh- age 88 of Farwell, passed away at his home on Thursday, November 1, 2018. Bud was born on January 8, 1930 to parents John L. and Elizabeth Kathryn (Wilkie) Rodabaugh in Clare, Michigan. He graduated from Clare High School after an exceptional athletic career.
He excelled in everything sports; Basketball, Football, Tennis, and Baseball. He was inducted into the Clare High School Hall of Fame. He married Donna L. Hose on June 16th, 1950 in Alma, MI and together they raised three children.
Bud was very civic minded belonging to DeMolay, serving as Scout Master of Troop # 125, he was involved with Boy Scouts, Farwell School Board, and a member of the Community of Christ Church in Farwell. Bud served as a 1st Sgt. with the Army National Guard460th Division and the 464th Supply & Service Company located in Midland.
Bud earned his living as a Sales Rep for Dow Chemical, retiring after 30 years of service. Bud is survived by his wife of 68 years, Donna, son Richard Rodabaugh and wife Karen of Arlington, Debra Smith and husband William of Tampa, FL. , nine grandchildren,twelve great-grandchildren, brothers Thomas Rodabaugh and wife Esther of Beaverton, James Rodabaugh and wife Theresa of FL, and sister Mary Beth McDonald and husband Ronald of Gladwin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter Kathryn Jones in 2010, and brother Jack Rodabaugh. A funeral service is planned for Tuesday, November 6th at 11AM, at the Campbell-Stocking Funeral Home in Farwell. Pastor Terry Hose will officiate.
