Gerald’s Obituary Gerald V. DiMatteo, 65 of Jackson, passed away on March 24, 2019 at Jersey Shore University Medical Center. He was born in Teaneck, lived in Fanwood, Lake Hopatcong and Philadelphia, PA before moving to Jackson two years ago. Gerald enjoyed cooking, playing cards and games and was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and NY Mets fan.

He was a parishioner at St. Monica’s RC Church in Jackson. Surviving are his mother Thelma DiMatteo, daughter Cathy DiMatteo, son Anthony DiMatteo, brother, John DiMatteo, sister Therese DiMatteo, girlfriend, Pam Peterson, and his ex-wives, Maureen Newell and Nancy DiMatteo. The family will receive relatives and friends for a Memorial Mass on Saturday, March 30, 2019, 12:30pm at St. Monica’s RC Church, Jackson.

Cremation was private and under the direction of Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Rd. , Brick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Monica’s RC Church, 679 W. Veterans Highway, Jackson, NJ 08527.
