Mildred’s Obituary Weatherhead Young Funeral Home 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723 Mildred Gurbisz, age 94, of Brick, NJ passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 9, 2019. She was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Bayonne. She married Raymond Gurbisz in 1950 and they moved to Colonia, NJ where they lived for over 40 years; they would spend their weekends and summers at their shore house in Brick, where she moved to permanently after her retirement from the Garden State Parkway in 1995.

Mildred is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Gurbisz; two sisters, Mary Introne and Anne Pasteuzyn. She is survived by her three children, Glenn Gurbisz and his wife Susan, Dawn Ciccone and, Carl Gurbisz; three grandchildren, Antonette Bullen, Raymond and, Holly Gurbisz; she is also survived by her great-grandchild, Elaina Bullen. Relatives and friends are invited to Weatherhead Young Funeral Home, 885 Mantoloking Road Brick, NJ 08723, on March 13, 2019 from 4pm to 8pm for Mildred’s viewing.

A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, 11 am at The Church of the Visitation, Brick. Interment will follow the mass at Ocean County Memorial Park, Toms River, NJ.
