Geraldine Lee Hauger of Rockford, Illinois June 24, 1937 – December 5, 2018 Geraldine “Jerri” Lee Hauger, 81, of Rockford, passed away December 5, 2018 at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center. Born June 24, 1937. Daughter of Rogene and Jack Thorne.

Spent her life in the Rockford area. Worked twenty five plus years at the University Illinois College of Medicine-Rockford in a variety of administrative duties. During her life, she enjoyed golfing, bowling, attending mass, socializing with friends, and being with her family.

She was a very avid sports fan especially when it came to the Chicago Bears and Notre Dame Football. She is survived by her two sons, David (Megan) Hauger and Michael (Donna) Benjamin; her two granddaughters, Alexis Hauger-Foxhoven and Amelia Hauger; her brother Charles (Mary) Thorne, Sister Denise (Steve) Coogan, and brother in law Craig Manley; her nieces Lily and Sylvia Coogan; and her aunts and cousins. Predeceased by sister Carolyn Manley.

Family would like to thank the staff at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center for the care she was provided. Visitation will be Saturday December 8, 2018 at Julian-Poorman Welte Funeral home 9:30am-11:00am, funeral service to follow at 11:00am. Chaplain Armando Regalado will officiate.

Burial at Arlington Cemetery Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in care of family. Visit Weltefuneral.com for online register or directions.
