Joe Willard Herron 84, of Rockford passed away Monday, January 07, 2019 surrounded by family. Born June 13, 1934 in Jackson, TN. , to Milton & Roberta Herron.

He was a member of New Zion Missionary Baptist Church and a musician for United Faith for over 30 years. Joe was employed by Swift for more thatn 18 years ~ later accepting the position as janitor ar New Zion M.B. Church where he worked for ove 20 years retiring at age 70. He was joined in holy matriomony with Jean Caroline Herron for 61 years, to this union two children were born.

Joe leaves to cherish his memories, Jean Caroline Herron; his sons, Rev. Joseph E. (Delores) Herron, and Deacon Michael (Tina) Herron; three sisters, MAry Herronof Rockford, Patsy Hereford, and Velva Howard of Nashville, TN; 12 grand children, 15 great grandchildren and a host of other nieces, nephews and relatives whom loved him very much. Predeceased by both parents, three sisters, Alice Taylor, Polly Hagman, and Cora Gillard; brother, Millard Herron; nephew Michael A. Herron; and two grand children, Jamaya and Joeqavion.

Services will be held 11am Monday, January 14, 2019 at New Zion Missionary Baptist Church 604 Salter Ave, with visitation from 9am until time of service. Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens. Arrangements completed by Collins & Stone Funeral Home 128 S Fifth Street.
