OBITUARY Gertie H. Kempf October 15, 1962 – August 29, 2018 The Lord called Gertie H Kempf of Ravenna, home on August 29, 2018. Gertie was born on October 15, 1962 to Henry J Kempf and Mary M Leslien Kempf in North Bloomfield, Ohio. She loved Jesus and spent her time studying the Bible and being a Prayer Warrior.

Gertie shared the word with everyone she came in contact with and attended Bethel Baptist Church where she enjoyed her involvement with the Abundant Life Club. Gertie also tried to encourage love and kindness through phone calls and sending cards & notes. She is survived by eight sisters: Malinda Goldner of Ohio, Martha Byler of Ohio, Emma Coblentz of Pennsylvania, Fanny Lee of Pennsylvania, Elma Williams of Ohio, Edina Kempf of Pennsylvania, Susan Castleberry of Alabama, Barbara Kempf of Alabama and her three brothers: Jacob Kempf of Ohio, Elmer Kempf of Ohio and John Kempf of Ohio.

Gertie was proceeded in death by her parents, three sisters and one brother. Friends and family will be received at the Wood-Kortright-Borkoski Funeral Home, 703 E. Main St., Ravenna, on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 from 11:00am until the 12:00pm funeral service, officiated by Pastor David Ballert. Interment will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery in Twinsburg.
