Virginia, “Ginny” Billings Bleckley, 65, wife of Thomas Cole Bleckley passed away on March 1, 2019 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont. Born November 2, 1953 in Wellsville, NY, she was the daughter of the late Virgil Billings and Vesta Baker Billings. Ginny was a 1972 graduate of Whitesville Central School and attended Elim Bible Institute.

Ginny had a passion for children and was a beloved teacher and nanny. She attended Greenwood Lutheran Church and loved playing the guitar. She is preceded in death by her sisters Narda Billings and Noreen Billings Whitesell.

Surviving are husband, Thomas “Cole” Bleckley of the home, daughter Allison Herschede (Matthew), son Mark Bleckley (Sarah), grandchildren Diana Herschede, Aidan Herschede, Adrian Herschede, Christopher Bleckley and Nicholas Bleckley. A memorial service will be held at 7 pm on Monday at Laurel Baptist Church. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, 222 Pressley Street, Greenwood, SC 29646.
