Glenn E. Sweeley, Sr., 69, of Mill Hall passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 28, 2019 after a courageously fought battle with cancer. He was born in Lock Haven on August 15, 1949. Glenn attended Lock Haven High School.

He then proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, earning the National Defense Service Medal as well as the Vietnam Campaign and Vietnam Service Medals. Glenn worked various construction jobs, most recently being employed at Thomas Log Homes in Red Rock. He was a member of the American Legion, Lock Haven.

Glenn enjoyed building model cars, gardening and hunting. He was a fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and loved his Boxer dogs. Most important to him was the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Surviving is his mother, Emily Sweeley Eoute of Mill Hall; four children: Glenn (Christie) Sweeley, Jr. of Ulysses, Glenda (Jason) Killinger of Mill Hall, Robert Sweeley of Lock Haven and Joni (Michael) Jodun of Lock Haven; seven grandchildren: Jason and Morgan Killinger, Macie Johnson, Spencer and Lanie Sweeley, and Chole and Abbey Jodun; two great grandchildren, Clay and William; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Per his wishes, there will be no services. Memorial contributions in Glenn’s name may be made to the James E. Van Zandt VA Medical Center through the funeral home.
