Graveside funeral services for Glenn Ellyn Hammond Powell, 89, of Parrott, who died February 18, 2019, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 21st in the Parrott City Cemetery with Rev. Charlie Bridges and Chaplain Marty Dillon officiating. Mrs. Powell was born in Dawson on April 5, 1929, daughter of the late Glenn Riordan and Juanita Kennedy Hammond.

During her lifetime she was a homemaker and worked in the family grocery store. She was a member of Parrott United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Powell.

Survivors include two sons, Larry (Karlyn) Powell of Leesburg and Mike (Marilyn) Powell of Dawson; daughter, Ellyn P. (John) Hinson of Dawson; two sisters, Joanne Askew and Juanita (Don) Bridges; three brothers, Bobby Hammond, Johnny (Sally) Hammond and Gerald (Lynda) Hammond; one sister-in-law, Olive Belle Powell; one brother-in-law, Louis (Linda) Powell; seven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren.
