Obituary for Glenn F. Blackford Glenn F. Blackford, 53, of Elkville, passed away at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Glenn was born on August 1, 1965, in Fairfield, Illinois, to Glenn E. Blackford and Paula (Heldenbrand) Bilderback. He was an entrepreneur of owning a small business.

Mr. Blackford was a member of the Illinois Committee of Blind Vendors, and a member of the Elk’s Lodge. He enjoyed watching sports and was an avid Viking’s fan. Glenn is survived by his mother and step father Paula and Rick Bilderback of Murphysboro; one sister Shawnie Porter and her husband Kenny Porter of Elkville; two nieces Kristian Porter of Houston, TX and Tori Porter of Evansville, IN; and one nephew Matt Porter of Elkville.

He was preceded in death by his father Glenn Blackford and step mother Fronie Blackford. His body will be cremated and Memorial Services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 30, 2018, at Elkville Christian Church. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the church.
