Mrs. Gloria E. Longo, 93, of Hillside died Monday. June 18, 2018 at Trinitas Regional Medical Center, Elizabeth after a long illness. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Higgins and Bonner Echo Lake Funeral Home, 582 Springfield Ave.

, Westfield. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at 10:00AM at Immaculate Conception RC Church in Elizabeth. .

She was the wife of the late Anthony F. Longo (2007) and daughter of the late Nicholas F. Cantello (1989) and Katherine Arace CanteIlo (2002). The family had owned a prominent mechanical contracting firm based in Elizabeth for many years. Born in Elizabeth.

Mrs. Longo lived in Hillside for 61 years. She was a graduate of Battin High School, Elizabeth. and Berkeley Secretarial School, East Orange.

Mrs. Longo also had attended Upsala College, East Orange. For several years. Mrs. Longo had been employed as an executive secretary by General Electric Co. Newark.

She was a long-time communicant of Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church. Elizabeth. and was a friend of St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church.

Hillside. Surviving are a daughter, Kathleen G. Longo of Hillside and a sister, Mrs. Marie Krebs of Elizabeth.
