Gloria J. (Locke) Moyse of St. Johnsbury, Vt. passed away on Sunday, February 10, 2019, at Northeastern Vermont Regional Hospital. She was born December 2, 1948, the daughter of Ralph and Virginia Locke in Concord, Vt.

She grew up in St. Johnsbury and graduated from St. Johnsbury Academy Class of 1967. Following graduation she worked at Dana Jewelry and Lyndon State College retiring due to illness. She married Vernon Earl Moyse in October of 1969 and shared 49 years together.

He was the wind beneath her wings. God sent for her to be free to fly in heaven. Vernon and Gloria enjoyed being together as best friends.

Gloria enjoyed with pride working in her home, flowers and gardening. Together with Vernon, they liked hunting and fishing or just a walk in the woods. She had many animals that were like children to her.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 50 years: Vernon Moyse of St. Johnsbury; her brother, Wesley Locke and wife Elizabeth of St. Albans, VT; sister-in-law Irene Kell of Altoona, FL; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents: Ralph and Virginia Locke; 2 brothers: Raymond and Sidney; and a sister: Theresa. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Concord Cemetery, Concord VT.
