Emma Elizabeth (Noss) Wall age 93, passed away at her home on Sugar Maple Road on March 21, 2019 with her family by her side. Emma was born in Cheshire CT on October 24,1925, daughter of Karl and Agnes (Krause) Noss, and raised by loving foster parents, Quintin and Bertha Dunn in Yalesville. She was educated in Wallingford CT, graduating from Lyman High School Class of 1944.

As many high schools students during WWII, Emma worked part time in a factory to support the war effort. She married John J. Wall on October 25, 1947, together the owned and operated Wall’s Transportation Service for over thirty years. They also owned and operated Maple Road Farm in Lyndonville.

Emma was a member of St. Elizabeth’s Church and received her 75 year certificate as a member of the Wallingford Grange #33. Emma was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved cooking, antiquing, nature walks, gardening and volunteer work.

She was a woman with many talents and interests but her passion was spending time with her family. Emma is survived by her children: John J. Wall Jr. Esq, and Kate Wall, both of Lyndon, Dr. Mariann Bertolini (Mark) of Kirby; three grandchildren: Shawn P. Tester (Loralee) of Lyndon, Dr. Kelly O’Neill (Dr. Erin Kennedy) of Atlanta Ge; Alivia Bertolini (Brad Libby) of Kirby, five great grandchildren: Timothy and Patrick Tester of Lyndon, Wilder, Wyatt, and Westerly Libby of Kirby, a sister Florence Dunn Glimpse (Claude) of Spring Hill Fl. and a dear friend Lucille Ventres of Lyndon, and several nieces, nephews, and grandnieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband John of 33 years, and two brothers Karl and Edward Noss. Calling hours will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at the Guibord-Pearsons Funeral Home on the corner of Main and Center Streets in Lyndonville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, March 27, 2019 at 11:00 am at the St. Elizabeth’s Church in Lyndonville with a private burial in the family cemetery at the farm later in the spring.
