William L Paquette , October 01, 1953 — February 27, 2019

William L. Paquette, 65, passed away Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at his home in Concord, VT. He was born in Winooski, VT and was the youngest of 4 boys born to Venerand and Mary (Fortin) Paquette. He graduated from Winooski High School and spent much of his life as a carpenter.

Bill is survived and lovingly remembered by his brother Robert Paquette of Concord, VT; nieces and nephews: Bonnie, Lincoln, Angie, Amie, Jason, Justin, Sarah and Rene as well as many great nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Dustin Mason, who held a special place in Billy’s heart and was considered family. He was predeceased by his parents and two brothers Donald and Roland as well as an infant sister Mary.

His family will remember Bill for his kind heart, sense of humor and contagious laugh. He would do anything to help others. He even welcomed Roland’s family of 5 into his small, 3 bedroom house when their house was lost to a fire.

He could be counted on to give the best gifts (usually the loudest most obnoxious toys) for birthdays and Christmas. Whether bantering back and forth with his brothers or razzing his nieces and nephews you could be sure on his laugh to be the loudest and for others to quickly join in! Time spent with Billy was always a dose of the best medicine one could ask for; laughter.

Bill was a master craftsman and great carpenter. He worked many years as a carpenter for Dale Wells and then continued hands-on work doing maintenance at the Comfort Inn. Bill always had a project to work on.

He shared his love of tinkering and passed it on to Lincoln and Dustin. Both Lincoln and Dustin will forever cherish the many hours spent in Bill’s garage. He loved the outdoors.

Bill spent his summers camping with his many friends he considered extended family. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, snowmobiling, riding ATV’s and swimming as well. He was well known for his hunting camp chili, too hot for many people to eat!

Bragging rights were earned for those who could eat it. No services will be held at this time, however, a celebration of Bill’s life may be held in the summer. Details will be announced at a later time.
