Reginald Lester Smith, age 67, of New Boston Road, unexpectedly passed away in his sleep at home on Saturday, May 25, 2019. Reg was born in St. Johnsbury, VT, on September 3, 1951, son to the late Lester Gene Smith (1992) and Marcelena Mary (Degreenia) Smith (2018). He was raised and educated in Lyndonville, VT and served in the U.S. Army in the early 1970’s , being stationed in Germany.

An avid auto enthusiast and business owner with an unforgettable sense of humor and quick wit, he impacted many lives. He was known by many in the ‘Ville’ as “Regman” or a “Legend” and he wore those titles proudly. Reg made an impression wherever he went (good, sometimes not so good) and typically took center stage in any situation being the life of the party.

He loved to make people laugh with a variety of impressions, radio DJ announcements, and over the top jokes. He is survived by his daughter: Stephanie DeCesare and partner Judi MacPherson of Wheelock, his son: Ryan D. Smith of Brooklyn, NY, his ex-wife and best friend Jeanne Smith of Rochester, NY, his 2 sisters: Joyce Lee of Bulverde, TX, Sylvia Clark and partner Roger Larose of Concord, VT, his brother: Bryan And Lori Smith of Lyndon, and one granddaughter: Maya DeCesare. He also leaves behind many friends; Bruce Bona, A, Alan Quimby, and Karen DeCesare to name a few, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his sister Rhonda Keene. Services will be held at the North Kirby Cemetery at 11am on Wednesday, May 29. All friends and family welcome.
