Obituary for Gordon L. Laster Sr. Gordon Lesley Laster Sr., 84, of Muskogee, Oklahoma passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018. He was born July 26, 1934 in Tiptonville, TN to Theodore and Gladys (Sutton) Laster. Gordon attended public schools and completed his education in 1952.

He married the love of his life, Mary M. Francis. They shared more than 30 years of marriage when she passed in 1987. Gordon worked for the Funsten Nut Company for many years.

He later worked for the Oklahoma School for the Blind as a chaperone and retired in May of 2015. Gordon will always be remembered as an avid OU football fan. He enjoyed going fishing and helping his best friend with their cattle business.

He also liked to go to casinos in Tunica, MS. Gordon attended the East Okmulgee Church of Christ. He will greatly missed.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary; his brothers, Willie Laster, Ray Laster, James Laster; and nephew, Chris Cook. Gordon is survived by his son, Gordon Laster Jr; granddaughters, Carleigh Martin and Leslie Martin Steele; great-granddaughters, Akela Steele and Jaedin Steele, all of Muskogee; sisters, Betty Montgomery of Samburg, TN, Judy Smith of Troy, TN; along with several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. The family will receive friends from 2-4PM, Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Cornerstone Funeral Home.
