Graveside services for Grace D. Streit 96 of Fort Dodge will be Monday, May 21, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Willow Township Cemetery near Coon Rapids, Iowa with Rev. Nathan Peitsch officiating. Grace Darling (Nelson) Anderson Streit was born December14, 1921 in Glidden, Iowa to John and Violet (Doughtery) Nelson.

She grew up in the Glidden area and graduated from Scranton High School. She was united in marriage to Orville Anderson on November 16, 1941 in Glidden, Iowa. The couple farmed in the Glidden area for many years.

Grace enjoyed gardening, raising vegetables and canning. She was a member of St Paul’s Lutheran Church in Fort Dodge and the Fort Dodge V.F.W. Auxiliary. Grace was also a Foster Grandparent for many years.

On May 17, 2018 Grace D. Streit died at the Marian Home in Fort Dodge, Iowa. She is survived by her daughter Sheilah (Don) McFarland of Des Moines. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Grace was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Francis, daughter Mary, brother Charles, sister Geraldine and two grandchildren. Historic Bruce Funeral Home of Fort Dodge was entrusted with the arrangements. Online condolences may be directed to www.
