Obituary for Grace K. Garman Grace Kathryn Garman, age 100, Joplin, Mo. ; passed away on Wednesday December 19, 2018 at the Joplin Gardens. Grace was born on January 17, 1918 in Drumright, Ok.

, the daughter of the late John and Virginia Mae (Baker) Hamilton. She married Robert Garman on October 3, 1937 in Cushing, Ok. , together they raised two children.

She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Villa Heights Christian Church. In her younger years she enjoyed painting, sewing, and counted cross stitch.

She loved to read. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Garman on November 19,1999; her daughter, Judy Davis on July 15, 2018; two brothers, Marion and Jack; and one sister, Helen. Grace is survived by one son, Joe Garman and wife Linda, Joplin; five grandchildren, Lisa Shaffer and husband Jack, Parkville, Mo.

, Cynthia Riddle and husband J.C., Parkville, Mo. , Kent Davis and wife Charlotte, Plattsburg, Mo. , Stephanie Freed and husband Brandon, Joplin; and Angie Brower and husband Darrin, Joplin; eighteen great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday at Villa Heights Christian Church. Truman Brady, Minister will officiate. Burial will be in Osborne Memorial Cemetery.

The family will receive friends 10:00 a.m. Friday at the Church prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be given to ARM in care of the mortuary. Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary & Crematory.
