Grace L. Lisi, 93, of Jersey City, entered into eternal rest on Monday, September 24, 2018, at Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel. Grace worked for many years as a waitress for Erks and Tripoli Restaurant. She also worked for the Jersey City Public School System as a Teachers Aid for Special Ed for 21 years before retiring at the age of 80.

Grace loved music and dancing, and even after losing her ability to walk, she still continued to dance in her wheel chair. She was predeceased by her beloved son: Joseph Lisi and his Wife Carol. Her parents: Jennie and Paul Buchicchio.

Her Brothers: Louis Buchicchio and his wife Mary, Anthony Buchicchio, and Richard Buchicchio and his wife Pat. She was the cherished mother of Mary Ann Thatcher and her husband, Jack; Paul Lisi and his wife Cynthia; and Kathy Scarpa and her husband Michael. Grace loved and adored her 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, and her great – great grandchild.

Also surviving is her sister in-law Terry Buchicchio, and many loving nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018, from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM, at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation Company, Jersey City (for GPS use Address: 14 Stagg St., Jersey City). Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Funeral Home on Saturday, September 29, 2018, at 11:00 AM.

A Funeral Mass will follow at 12:00 PM, at Holy Rosary Church, 344 Sixth St., Jersey City. Cremation will be private. In Lieu of flowers, Grace’s family is asking that donations be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (www.

stjude.org/donate) in Grace’s name.
