Pasquale Maggiore, 78, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, September 13, 2018. Pasquale was born in Giuliana, Palermo, Sicily and immigrated to Jersey City in 1968. Pasquale was a groundskeeper for 20 years at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington and retired in 2006.

Prior, he worked for Kearny shipyards from 1968 to 1978. Pasquale enjoyed gardening, landscaping and masonry finish work. He was a devout member of the Congregation Jehovah Witness Hall in Ridgefield, NJ.

Pasquale was known to be selfless, humorous and loved spending time with family especially his grandchildren. Pasquale was the beloved husband of 49 years to Antoinette (nee Interrante); devoted father and hero to Antonina Maggiore Manto and Enzo Maggiore; cherished grandfather of Christian Cruz and Isabella Manto; loving brother of Gaetano, Caterina, Maddalena, Giuseppe, Paola and the late Maria Maggiore; dear brother-in-law of Giuseppe Interrante and the late Pasquale Riolo, Angelo Napoli and Rita Bison. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

Viewing and funeral talk will be on Monday, September 17, 2018, 5:00pm to 9:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd. , Jersey City, NJ 07306. Family and friends will gather on Tuesday, September 18, 2018, 10:00am at the funeral home.

Funeral procession will commence 10:30 am to Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association (www.
