Thomas C. Shannon, Jr., 44, a proud lifelong resident of Jersey City, passed away on Saturday, October 20, 2018. Thomas was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Phillies fan. He was a laborer for Ironworkers Local 45.

“I was also the best bartender in Jersey City and known for the Irish Goodbye, the Shannon Shuffle! ” Thomas was the beloved son of Barbara Shannon and the late Thomas C. Shannon, Sr.; loving brother of Laura Viray, Christine Shannon, Sean Shannon, Patricia Shannon and the late Michael Shannon. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Visitation is on Thursday, October 25, 2018, 5:00pm to 9:00pm at RIOTTO FUNERAL HOME & Cremation Company, 3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306 (For GPS Navigation it is best to use parking lot entrance address: 14 Stagg St.). Everyone will meet for a Funeral Mass on Friday, October 26, 2018, 11:00am at St. John the Baptist Church, 3026 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306. Cremation will be private.
