Glennville/Lyons Mrs. Gracie Tanner, age 90, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2018 at the Oxley Park Health and Rehab under the care of Community Hospice. She was born on February 6, 1928 in Lyons to J.T. and Zettie Cason Rice. She lived in the Glennville area most of her life before moving back to Lyons.

She was a seamstress and loved taking care of her dogs and working in her garden. Mrs. Tanner was of the Church of God faith and was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, William “Bill” Tanner. She is survived by her children, Melba J. Martin of Lyons, Sylvia Gibbs of Lyons, and Billie Sue Clark of Marietta; six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

There will be no services. Low Country Cremation and Burial is serving the family of Mrs. Gracie Tanner.
