Gregory Norman Saunders, age 51 of Avoca, passed away February 28, 2019 at his home. He was born March 20, 1967 in St. Clair to Paul and Clarice Saunders. He married Patricia Sanford June 30, 1990.

Greg worked for M.L. Moore & Associates for over 20 years and Kevin’s Lawncare plowing snow for many years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and was very proud of his masonry skills that he learned from his uncles, George and Jerry Saunders. He also loved his Saturday night Texas hold em games that he played for many years with Dennis McIntyre, Diane Lepiors, Fred Feldhouse, Patrick Rock and Kevin Lepiors.

Greg is survived by his wife, Patricia; parents Paul and Clarice Saunders; children, Shelly Patton, Tina Rowbotham, Mary (Andy) Booms and John Rowbotham; sister, Linda (Dave) Pieprzak; brother, Paul Saunders; grandchildren, Ethan, Joshua, Anna, Jasmine, Chloe, Bella, Sadie and Braelyn and his buddy Lucy and lap warmer Griffin and several aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be Tuesday March 5th at 11:30 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Springhill Cemetery.

Visiting hours are Monday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. Pallbearers are John Rowbotham, Adam Pieprzak, Drew Saunders, Megan Saunders, Ethan Booms and Jasmine Booms. Memorials may be made to the Michigan Room at the St. Clair County Library. To leave a message of comfort visit www.
