Helmers, Gregory P., age 60 of Germantown passed away April 20, 2018 at his home. Greg was born in Cincinnati, OH to Carol and June (Porter) Helmers, after high school he attended Miami University but credits most of his life education to his late father, Carol. Greg loved spending time with his family more than anything and together they enjoyed cooking, hiking, campfires and anything outdoors.

Greg was also passionate about writing and you could often find his letters to the editor in the Germantown Press. Greg is preceded in death by his father Carol (Spike) Helmers. He is survived by his wife Marti Helmers, his son Jesse Helmers, daughter Emily Helmers, granddaughters Mattie and Layla Helmers, brothers Tom (Suzy) Helmers, Dave (Julie) Helmers, sisters Ann (Phil) Case, Cathy Helmers, and Carol Olh, along with numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Greg always had a positive attitude, a smile on his face and will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 10:00am at the Arpp & Root Funeral Home, 29 N. Main St. Germantown, interment immediately following at Germantown Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 from 6-8 PM at the Funeral Home.
