Garber, Rex, age 85 of Farmersville passed away June 4, 2018. He was born to the late Dwight and Marie (Miller) Garber and graduated from Jefferson High School in New Paris, OH. Rex was a member of Farmersville United Methodist Church for over 60 years and retired from the City of Kettering Parks Department after 23 years.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Lora and infant son Tracy Garber, his son Mark Garber, and his brother Norman Eugene “Gene” Garber. He is survived by his wife Janice (Hollinger) Garber, his sons Rick (Denise) Garber, Tim (Barb) Garber, his daughter Carol Garber (Michael Williams), his grandchildren Julie (Brandon) Koogler, Jennifer (Dustin) Serres, Justin (Teresa) Garber, Beth Garber (Joe Hile), Brian (Caitlyn) Garber, Allison (Alex) Geeting, Mason (Annah) Kuykendoll, and Valkyrie, Aengys, Davyn Williams, 9 great grandchildren, and his sister Barbara Shyrigh. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, June 8, 2018 at 11:00am at the Farmersville United Methodist Church, 110 W. Center Street, Farmersville with pastor Brian Thie officiating.

Burial immediately following at Green Mound Cemetery in New Madison, OH. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 9:00am.
