Guyce’s Obituary Guyce Stanley Center 1943-2018 Guyce was born and grew up in Artusee, Oklahoma and worked side by side with his Dad in the family owned Sawmill until he caught a train to Montana to work on the pipeline to send his checks back home to help support his family. He went on to another job working with his older brother on the pipeline when his father passed away. Guyce continued to send money home to help support his mother and little sister.

After leaving the pipeline, Guyce worked as a foreman on the construction of the Dam at Sallisaw, Ok. after the Dam was completed, he joined the National Guards, infantry division, where he received the Expert Marksmanship badge. After his service to our country, Guyce worked at a gas station in Eufaula and started driving semi-trucks hauling grain.

Guyce never lost his love for Truck driving and continued to drive part time while he was also owner/operator of midway truck stop in Checotah. In 1989 Guyce sold the truck stop to follow his passion for driving trucks. He drove from Waco, Tx to California for 10 years.

On his birthday in April of 2000, Guyce came back to his home in Checotah, Ok and went to work for Glover Construction and Raising Cattle on his farm until his diagnosis of Colon Cancer in December of 2012. He gave up his love for driving trucks and continued to Raise his Cattle while he fought the cancer for the next six years until he lost his battle and took his last breath. Guyce is preceded in death by his parents, Council and Callie (Gray) Center; and brother, Watie Center.

He is survived by his companion of over 18 years , Margaret Cagle; one Daughter; Daphany Parker; Sister, Donna Davbert; Grandchildren, Kyle Cannon and wife Amelia; great-grandchild, Aurora Cannon.
