Obituary for Gwen Kay Sleppy Mrs. Gwen K. Sleppy, 78, of Seymour, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at home surrounded by family. She was born February 1, 1940 to the late Dale and Inez (Heller) Hinds. Funeral services will be at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Monday, April 23 at 10:30 am with Rev.

Steve Barrett officiating. Burial will follow at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Madison at 12:30 pm. Family and friends may call at Voss & Sons Funeral Service on Sunday from 5-8 pm and on Monday from 9:30 am until time of service.

On December 21, 1963, she married David T. Sleppy, he survives. She was a faithful wife and mother, who loved her son and family. She was a loyal employee for 24 years at Wal-Mart.

She loved spending time in the Smoky Mountains. She is survived by her husband of over 54 years; her son, David T. (Sabrina) Sleppy, Jr.; grandchildren, Liam, Tabitha and Sophia; brother, Richard (Karen) Hinds; as well as nieces and nephews, David (Debbie) Hinds, Cindy (Duane) Riggs, Amy Hinds, Jeff (Ginger) Hinds and Jeff (Kim) Acton. She is preceded in death by her parents; and brother, David Hinds.
