Obituary for Gwynn Mothe Birchfield Gwynn Mothe Birchfield, a native of Algiers, LA and a resident of Gretna, LA for the past 44 years passed away on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at the age of 77. Beloved wife of the late Danny O’Neal Birchfield. Loving mother of Stacie B. Kern (Donald Jr.), Jeanelle E. Birchfield and Jennifer B. Lance (the late Matthew).

Grandmother of Donald III and Sydney Kern, Logan, Dylan and Haley Birchfield and Caleb and Chase Lance. Daughter of the late Pearl Thibodaux Mothe and Emile J. Mothe, Jr. Sister of Boyd L. Mothe, Sr. (Sylvia), Corbett R. Mothe and the late Marilyn M. “Teda” Ward and E.J. Mothe III (Survived by Marge). Sister-in-law of David R. Birchfield (Teri) and the late Janet McLaren (the late Russell).

Gwynn was the President and Founding Member of the Dealing Divas. She was the most giving and unselfish “Honey” to many. You may have walked in as a stranger but you definitely left as a family member.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOME, 1300 Vallette Street, Algiers, LA on Monday, September 24, 2018 from 6PM until 9PM. Visitation will resume at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church, 400 Verret Street, corner of Alix Street in Algiers, LA from 9AM until 11AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church on Tuesday at 11AM.

Interment will be held at a later date in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Gretna, LA. Family and friends may offer condolences at mothefunerals.com.
