H. Kermit Shedd, 89, of Baileyton, passed away Monday, September 17, 2018. He was born June 14, 1929, to Tommy and Ithoma Flemming Shedd. Mr. Shedd worked for the Cullman County Road department for many years, was a member of Pan Creek Baptist Church, and loved to play golf.

But more importantly, he was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather and he will be missed greatly by his family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Birl Shedd, Talmadge Shedd, infant brother Shedd; sisters, Lavetha Smith and Tera Hadley. Kermit is survived by his wife of 71 years, Louise Garrett Shedd; sons, Randall (Debbie) Shedd, Keith (Tara) Shedd, Dennis (Sherry) Shedd, Dwayne (Nikki) Shedd; daughter Kanitha Shedd Twilley; brother, Orby V. Shedd; eight grand children; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. in the Holly Pond Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 19, 2018, at Welcome Baptist Church, Brother Jerry Harper officiating. Burial will follow in Welcome Cemetery.

Mr. Shedd’s grandchildren will serve as his pallbearers. Holly Pond Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Mr. Shedd.
