Hanna Jane Padgett, 98, of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at White Oak Manor in Shelby. Born in Cleveland County on July 13, 1920 she was a daughter of the late Lanceford Garty Hopper and Sally Hopper. She was a homemaker and member of Sharon United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband John Henry Padgett; seven brothers, LG, Ernest, Bill, Graham, Clyde, Roy and Austin Hopper, and two sisters, Estelle Grigg, and Eula… Read More » Hopper. She is survived by and a son, Hal Grigg and wife Sheila of Fallston; sister, Sara Bridges of Ellenboro; grandchildren, Amy Gibson and husband Cambron and Ashley England and husband Michael; and great grandson, Logan Gibson. The services will be private.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.
