David Calvin Smith, 63 of Big Hill Road, Lawndale, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born December 4, 1954 in Cleveland County, he was a son of the late Lee Toy Smith and Mary Dee Smith. He was retired from Hickory Business Furniture.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patsy Neal. Survivors include his wife of 37 years, Katey Neal Smith; two sons, Michael Ray Smith of Erwin, TN and David Michael Smith… Read More » and wife, Beccye of Shelby; two daughters, Christy Lafollette and husband, Ray of Erwin, TN and Mary Byrd and husband, Joshua of Knoxville, TN; two brothers, Danny Smith and wife, Helen of Casar and Steven Smith of Hickory; a sister, Renee Neal and husband, Billy of Hickory; six grandchildren, Tristan, Dakoda, Katie Marie, Kaidyn, Alivia and Wyatt and a great-granddaughter, Roslynn. Visitation will be 1:00PM to 2:30PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

A funeral service will be 2:30 PM, Saturday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jackie Price and Rev. Randy Bumgardner officiating.

Burial will be private.
