Hazel Parker Houser, 88, of Lawndale, passed away Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Cardinal Health Care in Lincolnton. Born in Burke County, on April 28, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Douglas Parker and Fronie Lail Parker. She was retired from Sweetree in the sewing department and was a member of North Brook Baptist Church and former Sunday school teacher.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by four children,… Read More » Frances Shoup, Elaine Lail, Deborah Keener and Ronnie Lail; two brothers Alvin Parker and Edison Parker; and two sisters Mattie Craig and Beatrice Davis. She is survived by her husband of sixty-four years Beauford “Jack” Houser, three children and spouses, Marilyn and Ricky Lemons of Boiling Springs, Gerald and Jeannie Houser of Lawndale, and Jimmy and Kim Houser of Lawndale; son-in-law, Bob Keener of Hickory; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11:00 AM to 11:45 AM at North Brook Baptist Church. The funeral service will be on Thursday at 12:00 Noon, at North Brook Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Pennell, Norris Willis and Bob Wise officiating.

The burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Inc., Fallston.
