Donald Orie Brown, 79, of Seneca, formerly of Cherryville, passed away, Thursday, November 29, 2018. Born in Belle Plaine, Iowa, on August 12, 1939, he was a son of the late Orie Laberto Brown and Emma Blanche Hernik Brown. Donald was employed with Day & Zimmermann as am outage worker.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church have worshiped with Christ United Methodist Church in Belle Plaine, Iowa, Bethlehem United Methodist Church in Cherryville, and St. Marks United Methodist… Read More » Church in Seneca, South Carolina. He was also a member of the American Legion and a sixty-one year member of the Odd Fellows. Donald also served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife of fifty-three and half years Julie Arden Johnson Brown; three sons, Robert Brown (Valarie), David Brown (Carlene), and Mike Brown (Stacy); daughter, Mary Brown; two brothers, Kenny Brown and Bob Brown; sister, Linda Kratofka; eight grandchildren and eight step-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home, Fallston. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 PM in the Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home Chapel.

The burial will be held on Saturday in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Belle Plaine, Iowa.
