Obituary for Harold Pervis Jackson Mr. Harold Pervis Jackson, 82, of Matthews, passed away at home on Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Mr. Jackson was born on March 8, 1936 in Elkin, NC, son of the late William and Addie Cass Jackson. He was also preceded in death by his first wife Norma R. Jackson in 2004 and his 2nd wife Virginia Jackson in 2009; sister Pauline Eller; and brother Alex Jackson.

He proudly served his Country in the US Air Force and was a barber by trade. Survivors include his children Lisa K. Helms of Indian Trail, Tammy Proffett of Ashland, VA, Lisa Hemingway of Salem, OR and Tracy J. Newton of Matthews; grandchildren Terra Robinson of Indian Trail, Jessica Foreman of Shelby, NC, Julie Jackson of Salem, OR, Lynsey Gaddy of Indian Trail, Jackson Proffett and Kipp Proffett both of Ashland, VA, and Jacob Jenkinson of Salem, OR; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Ima Burbank of Rutherfordton, NC, Helen Frye of Atlanta, GA and Charles Jackson of Waxhaw. Harold was predeceased by his brothers Johnny Jackson and Alex Jackson as well as a sister Ruby Knight.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 from 12:00PM until 1:00PM with funeral services beginning at 1:00PM at Heritage Funeral Home, Weddington Chapel, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104. Interment will follow the service at Forest Lawn East Cemetery. The family would like to thank Liberty Hospice and Union County EMS for the loving care and support shown to Mr. Jackson and his family.
