Obituary for Victor Herbert Bopp Victor “Vic” Herbert Bopp, 85, of Indian Land, South Carolina passed away, Thursday, March 29, 2018 peacefully at his home. A celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 am, Monday, April 2 at Saint Nektarios Greek Orthodox Church, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC 28270. The family will receive friends and relatives from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn East Cemetery, 3700 Forest Lawn Drive, Matthews, NC 28104.

Memorials can be made in Victor’s honor to Saint Nektarios Church. Victor was born on August 31, 1932 in Sedalia, Missouri to Herbert and Ruth Bopp. He married the love of his life, Ola, on May 27, 1962 in Hicksville, NY.

After retiring from 25 years of truck driving, he was able to do what he loved most – working and playing on the golf course! A love he developed at an early age while working with his father who was a groundskeeper on a golf course. Victor is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Ola Bopp (Misurenko), his son Thomas Bopp and wife Stacey of Waxhaw, NC, his sister Mary Edna Rodriguez of Blue Point, NY, his brother John Bopp of Temecula, California, and two grandchildren, Sophia and Tyler Bopp.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Ruth, his son, James William Bopp, his sister, Cappy Johnson and his brother William Bopp. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to: St. Nektarios, 5108 Kuykendall Road, Charlotte, NC 28270 To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Victor Herbert Bopp please visit our Sympathy Store.
