Survivors include his loving wife, Dorothy Ann Wesson Taylor; two sons, Michael Taylor of Elmore, AL, and Carroll Jerome Taylor of Wetumpka, AL; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vester L. Taylor and Grace Elna Thrash Taylor; one son, Delane Taylor; one brother, Vester Taylor, Jr.; and two sisters, Dot Spradley and Margaret Bone.

He dearly loved and cared for his family and will be greatly missed. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 3, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Elmore, AL, with Rev. Eric Sutton officiating and Wetumpka Memorial Funeral Home directing.

Pallbearers include Craig Stroud, Danny Winfree, Eddie Lucas, Nick Taylor, Robbie Elliot and Mike Watts. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to funeral services at 10:00 a.m. at New Home Missionary Baptist Church.
