Obituary of Harold Outten Harold Daniel Outten, best known as “Danny”, 69, died on Sunday, January 27, 2019 at his Pocomoke City farm on the Maryland Virginia line where he was raised, surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 1, 1949 in Crisfield, MD, he was the son of the late Vernon and Mattie Helen Outten. Danny graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1967.

He then started his career in the automotive and petroleum business, starting as a mechanic for Jimmy Daugherty, then 19 years with Kellam Energy before starting Outten Petroleum with his wife, Janet in 1986. He operated a small farm on the family farm raising chickens, corn, soybeans and hay. He had a special love for fast and loud cars, especially anything Ford.

An animal lover, he also had a pet deer along with his several horses and dogs Danny is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Janet Mason Outten: two sons, Daniel Charles Outten (Denise) and Barry Lee Outten (Lynda); one daughter, Tammy Lynn Outten- Bailey (Ian); 7 grandchildren, Steven L, Daniel, Steven H, Barry, Jr., Chelsey, Mackayla and Collin; two brother-in-laws, Daniel Killmon and his daughter, Jennifer and Gerald T. Mason (Mary Jane),; sister-in-law, Donna Jean Mulligan (Mike); and many extended family members and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Diane O. Killmon. A Celebration of his Life in the Lord will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in the First Baptist Church in Pocomoke City, at 11:00 AM, where he was a faithful member and Deacon.

Rev. Wayne Ayer and Rev. Terry Davis will officiate.

Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow in Remson United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4249 Sheephouse Road, Pocomoke City, MD. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church, 204 Fourth Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851.
