Harriet Lisa Weinberg Ferrera, passed peacefully in her sleep in the morning hours of Friday, February. 15, 2019. She was 79 years young.

A resident of Old Gretna, Lisa loved her family and was a pancreatic cancer survivor of 16 years. Born in Chicago and raised in San Francisco (her favorite place on earth) of Meta and William Weinberg and moved to New Orleans with her family in 1972. She graduated from U.C.L.A.

Berkley with her B.S. degree in Accounting. She’s survived by her husband, Victor F Ferrera, Sr.; two daughters, Renee and Laura Ferrera; two stepchildren, Victor Jr. and Starla Ferrera; three grandchildren (which she was most proud of) Christopher Ferrera, Taylor Turkmen, Ethan Carroll, and brother, Alan B. Weinberg of California. She leaves behind many nieces and nephews and numerous extended family members whom she loved deeply.

Special thanks to the many at Woldenberg Village, she was grateful for their special care. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at MOTHE FUNERAL HOMES, 2100 Westbank Expy. , Harvey, LA on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 10am to 1:30pm followed by Words of Remembrance.
