Obituary for Harriet “Dolly” Bolduc Harriet W. Bolduc ‘Dolly’, 69 years, of Berwick died April 23, 2018 at her home. Dolly was born November 12, 1948 in Dover, NH a daughter of Willis and Marilyn (Varney) Wentworth. She graduated from Berwick High School and went on to earn her Associate’s degree from UNH.

While at UNH, Dolly met Dale Bolduc, a romance ensued and they married on April 27, 1968. Dolly worked in the school system for many years, first as the school librarian at Mary Hurd School and later at SAD 60 in adult education. Dolly was a voracious reader and a tremendous artist; her sketches adorn every piece of paper she touched.

For many years she designed and built costumes for the local theater and the high school show choir. She loved puttering in the garden and playing bridge with her girlfriends. She and her friends the ‘Sisters of Senility’ and planned crazy birthday parties on each of their 50th birthdays.

One of their craziest was to dress up in cow costumes, complete with udders, and have birthday dinner at the Hilltop Steak House in Saugus. It is rumored, but not proven, that this may have closed Hilltop down. Dolly loved people and always thought of others first.

She loved animals, and lastly, but most importantly, she loved her family and friends. From the library, to the school system, to local theaters, Dolly’s radiant smile, infectious laugh and unconditional love touched the lives of many. Anyone that had the pleasure of meeting Dolly will know that no words can convey her joy of life and how much she will be missed.

Sadly, Dolly was predeceased by her parents and her brother, Timothy Wentworth. Dolly is lovingly remembered by her husband of nearly 50 years, Dale; her sons, Scott Bolduc and his wife, Angela, of Oletha, Kansas and Jason Bolduc of Hobe Sound, Florida; her daughter, Nicole Pilotte and her husband, Ronald, of North Berwick; her brother, Tyler Wentworth of Berwick; her sister, Stacy Camire of North Berwick; her granddaughter, Emily; and her beloved pet, Butters. A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, May 19th at the First Congregational Church in North Berwick with Pastor Paul Day followed by a time of fellowship.

A private interment will be held at a later date in the family’s private cemetery.
