Harrison Evans Jr., 75, of Brockton since 1987, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 28, 2018. Born in Demopolis, Alabama, he was the son of the late Thelma (Patterson) and Harrison Evans Sr He was a bail bondsman in Boston for 21 years, and later worked in foreign auto.

Harrison was a worshipful master of Mount Moriah Masonic Lodge for many years. He loved fishing, football, baseball, and watching Westerns. Harrison was the beloved husband of Rose G. Veiga-Evans for 47 years; loving father of Sally Offutt, Elaina Perry, Mark Veiga, Nicole Dash, Valonia Green, Harrison Veiga, LaTara MacDonald, and Terrence Veiga; dear grandfather of 20; great-grandfather of 6; brother of Janie Brown of Ohio, Tommie L. Evans of NY, and Carl L. Evans of NY; nephew of Henry Owens and his wife Pat of Mattapan, and Nickie Furrow of Alabama; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to calling hours Monday, May 7th from 1-3 p.m., followed by a 3 p.m. service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private committal.
