In loving memory of Harry Braaksma Harry was born on March 18, 1952, in Ft Collins, Colorado. He was the fourth child (and the first one born in the United States) of Albert J and Jessie Braaksma (dec. ); immigrants from Leeuwarden, the Netherlands.

After service in the Vietnamese conflict, Harry became a metal fabricator/welder and worked for the same firm for over 30 years. He leaves behind many warm memories, four nieces, and one great nephew. A private man of high intellect, he was a kind and gentle soul to his family and friends.

He is survived by five siblings: Christine Jobe, Tess Braaksma, John Braaksma, Hank Braaksma, and Gretta Degner. After a long and difficult struggle against colon cancer, Harry passed away at Denver Hospice on May 10th, 2018. Rest in peace, my brother – you deserve it.

We love and miss you. Harry’s ashes will be placed by his siblings next to his parents at Chapel Hill Cemetery; 3 p.m., Thursday June 21, 2018. Followed by a life celebration at his sister’s home.
