Obituary for Haskel Prater Jr. Haskel Prater Jr., age 73, of Sheffield, died Sunday, June 10, 2018. The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, June 14, from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment will follow in Butler Cemetery, with military honors. Mr. Prater was born September 19, 1944, to the late Haskel Sr. and Pauline Sweeney Prater, in West Virginia. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during both the Korean and Vietnam Wars.

In addition to his parents, Haskel was also preceded in death by his son, Tony Prater; siblings, Mickey Prater, Jack Prater, and Kathleen Farris; and nephew, Jonathan Prater. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Prater; daughter, Mandi Prater; grandson, Daltyn Bolton; brother, Frank Prater; step-sons, Roger Williams and John Edwards; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Norman Humphreys, Lee Cook, Ernest Kilpatrick, Randy Longcrier, Leonard Strike, and Randolph Stultz.
