Obituary for Mary Lou Grimes Newton Mary Lou Grimes Newton, 66, was born June 30, 1951 and died Saturday, June 2, 2018. Her visitation will be Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 2:30 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia with the service following in the chapel. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Sheffield.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Newton; her mother, Louise Cahoon Grimes; her daddy, Bill Grimes; and her brother, Billy Grimes. She was also preceded in death by Bob and Marguerite Holland who raised her after her mother died. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tuscumbia, AL.

Mary Lou loved her “fur babies” and was also an avid fan of Alabama football. She loved saying “Roll Tide” everywhere she went. Mary Lou is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Archbold (Scott) of Yulee, FL.
