Obituary for Hazel M. Rahn Hazel M. Rahn, 95, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away, Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Heritage Care Initiatives, Cedar Rapids. Visitation: 4 – 6 p.m. Friday, June 1, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Burial will be at a later date at the Clarence City Cemetery, Clarence, Iowa.

Hazel was born September 8, 1922, in Stanwood, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Mabel (Long) Rotert. She graduated from Viola High School. During her varied career she worked at Globe Machinery, Newell Machinery and Armstrong’s Department Store.

Hazel was a member of the VFW Auxiliary #788, Moose Auxiliary #515, and a past president of the American Legion Hanford Unit #5. She loved to dance, play bingo, listen to music and volunteer at the Legion. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Mabel; daughter, Beverly Davis; and her two sisters, Roberta Rotert and Jean Sievers.
