After a courageous fight with cancer, Heidi has gained her wings on April 22, 2018 and is at peace with her Lord. Welcoming her were her parents Norbert and Polly, her sister Julie M and great nephew Quentin as well as aunts and uncles and grandparents Clarence and Pauline Sorenson and Hubert Huewe. She will be missed by her husband Andy Smith, her boys Lucas Huewe, Chandler Loos and Gavyn Loos and step children Jude Chastek, Cully Smith and Ben Smith.

Siblings Lisa (Corey) Knapp, Brian Huewe, Gary (Janet) Huewe, Dawn Huewe and Julie A. Huewe, her numerous nieces, nephews, great nephews, great nieces, grandmother Pauline Huewe and many friends. Pall bearers will be: Katie Solberg, Cydney Huewe, Kirsten May, Heather Lauderbaugh, Amanda Huewe and Alicia Lauderbaugh. Honorary Pall bearers are the rest of nieces and nephews She was born on June 1, 1981 and grew up in Bemidji, being active in girl scouts and became a pharmacy technician, working at Iverson Drug and Red Lake Pharmacy.

She enjoyed the outdoors, crafting, the Packers and helping others. Please join us in celebrating her amazing life at 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 30, 2018 at St. Philip’s Catholic Church, Bemidji with Fr. Chuck Huck officiating.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday, April 29, 2018 with a 5 p.m., prayer service at the Olson-Schwartz Funeral Home, Bemidji. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Jones Township Cemetery, Solway, MN.
