Obituary for Helen A. Veghts Helen A. Brothers Veghts, 93, a lifelong resident of Connellsville passed away peacefully Tue. Jan. 1, 2019 at her home.

She was born March 19, 1925 in Connellsville a daughter of the late Clyde and Gladys Hoover Brothers. Helen was a graduate of Connellsville High School with the class of 1942. Early on in her life she worked in the Canteen at Anchor Hocking.

She was a member of the Otterbein U.M. Church for over 78 years. Family was the most important part of Helen’s life and she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother,and sister to her family. She will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by her loving children Gary Veghts and wife Barbara of Oakland MI.

, Marla Eliou and husband Steve of Turtle Creek, Dayna Veghts of Connellsville, and Jana Kyle and husband Kirk of Merrittstown, her grandchildren Holly Powell, Brian, Jennifer, and Christina Veghts, and Jelena Kyle, her great granddaughter Beth Powell, and her great great granddaughter Layla Powell. Helen was the last surviving member of her immediate family. In addition to her parents Helen was predeceased by her loving husband of 59 years Charles Veghts, Jr. who passed away on April 2, 2009, her sisters Valetta Brothers, Roberta Phuntek, and Shirley Brothers, and her brothers Clyde E., Virgil, Clarence, and Darl Brothers.

Family and friends will be received Fri. from 2-8 PM in the Brooks Funeral Home Inc., 111 E. Green St. Connellsville (724-628-1430) where a Funeral Service will be held Sat. at 11:00 AM, with Rev Steven Lamb and Rev.

Lee Maley officiating. A committal service and interment will follow in the Mt. Olive Cemetery, Bullskin Twp.

. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to the Otterbein U.M. Church, 201 Lincoln Ave. , Connellsville PA.
