Helen B. Sipos, 93 of Hopelawn, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 9, 2018 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy with her family by her side. Helen was a lifelong resident of Perth Amboy. She was the Parish Secretary at Holy Trinity Church in Perth Amboy for 26 years before retiring in 2000.

She was member of the Holy Trinity Seniors, Holy Trinity Rosary Altar Society, Holy Trinity Choir and Pastoral Care Volunteer for 10 years at Raritan Bay Medical Center and Secretary for the Annual Slovak Heritage Festival in the state. Helen is predeceased by her cherished husband Henry L. Sipos, her beloved parents John and Mary (Nee: Suhaj); loving sister of Rev. Michael J. Churak, Mary Pado, John, Joseph and Frank Churak.

Helen is survived by her devoted children Barbra Schmid and Michael and his wife Helen “Honey” Sipos; adored grandmother of 5 and great-grandmother of 3; cherished aunt of many nieces, nephews and cousins; Also, her loving caretakers Naomi Veres, Doris “Dotti” Reyes, and Altagracia Cuevas. We will be begin to leave at 12:45 pm on Friday, December 14, 2018 from the Gustav J. Novak Funeral Home, 419 Barclay Street, Perth Amboy for a funeral mass at 1 pm at the Most Holy Name of Jesus Parish at Holy Trinity Church. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Cemetery.

Visiting is on Friday from 10:30 ~ 12:30 pm.
