POLKTON – Mrs. Helen Caudle Taylor, 85, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 15, 2019 at Anson Health and Rehab in Wadesboro. Funeral services will be 11:00AM, Monday, March 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Leavitt Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Thompson officiating.

Interment will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Polkton. The family will greet friends from 5:00pm until 7:00pm Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the funeral home and other times at the home. Helen was born March 13, 1934 in Anson County, NC a daughter of the late Paul Tyson Caudle and the late Blanche Elizabeth Carpenter Caudle.

She was retired from West Knitting Mills with more than 20 years of service and was also a Sales Representative for Home Interiors for more than 20 years. She was a member of Love Baptist Church in Monroe. Surviving are her husband of 69 years, James Taylor; her daughter and son-in-law, Rita and Roger Crump of Peachland; her grandchildren, Robbie Ross (Cindy) of Polktom, Monica Lowery of Peachland and Larry Lowery, Jr. (Beth) of New Salem; her step-grandson, Roger Crump of Peachland; her great-grandchildren, Matthew, Tiffany, Tonya, Brittanie, Stephanie, Bailey, Mackinnley, Roger Dale, Justin and Hailey; 12 great-great-grandchildren and her sister, Annie Edwards of Marshville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Joe Caudle, John Caudle, Kieth Caudle, Sampson Caudle, Jimmy Caudle, Larry Carpenter, Edgar “Pete” Caudle, Pearl Odom, Sue Dellinger, Rachel Hornback and Pauline Underwood. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Love Baptist Church, 707 Deese Rd, Monroe, NC 28110 or to Anson Community Hospice, a Division of Richmond County Hospice, 1119 US-1, Rockingham, NC 28379. The arrangements are in care of Leavitt Funeral Home.
