HELEN E. BOWSER BARGER, 92, of Country Springs, Sligo, formerly of Dutch Hill, passed away Thursday afternoon at Country Springs. Born in Parker, Pa. on Oct.

27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Dean and Amelia Helsel Bowser. A lifelong member of the Church of God, she was long active at Park Hill Church of God at West Freedom. She had served as a member and former officer of the Women of the Church of God, Sunday School Teacher, nursery worker, choir member, and involved with special prayer groups of the Church.

Helen and her late husband served as school bus contractors with the ACV School District for over twenty years. She is survived by a son: John N. “Ned” Barger of Parker, grandson Barry Scott (Renae) Barger of Cabot, Pa. ; two sisters: Alma (Dick) Fithian of Beauford, SC and Mary (Lowell) Smalligan of Huntsville, AL; two brothers: Rodney (Pat) Bowser of Dutch Hill and Carl (Mariett) Bowser of Brackney, PA.

; number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Barger who passed away Oct. 30, 2013; son Barry Stephen Barger who passed away Jan.

23, 2016. She was also preceded by sister Norma Jordan, and brothers George Neale, Louis, and Frank Bowser. Friends may call from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Monday at H. Jack Buzard Funeral Home, 201 So.
