Obituary for Helen “Jan” Janette Smith Floyd Jan Smith Floyd, 59, passed away on December 11, 2018, after a brief illness. Mrs. Floyd was born in Florence, SC to the late Mendel Lewis Smith and Margaret Washam Smith. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, David Smith and Michael L. Smith; sister-in-law, Barbara C. Smith, and niece, Tracy Powers Johnston.

Mrs. Floyd is survived by her husband, Roger Floyd ; sister, Linda (Charlie) Powers; brothers, Ernest (Kay Woodberry) Smith, both of Florence, SC, Charlie (Teresa) Smith of Scranton, SC, Steve (Ann) Smith of Cheraw, SC; sister-in-law, Doris Smith of Conway, SC; step-daughters, April Reid and Karen Floyd, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, December 14, 2018, at the Stoudenmire-Dowling Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Florence Area Humane Society, P. O. Box 4808, Florence, SC 29502 or a charity of your choice. Please sign the tribute wall for the family at www.
